SDBA Foundation Instructor Course 2023 - November

To: All SDBA Affiliates:

We are pleased to inform you that the Singapore Dragon Boat Association will conduct the SDBA Foundation Instructor Course 2023.

During this comprehensive course, candidates will participate in engaging lectures, a written test, and practical sessions both on land and water. Please note that acceptance into the course is subject to your application approval. To be eligible, applicants must meet the following prerequisites:

• Participants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of enrollment.
• Able to swim 50 meters without PFD.
• Completion of Dragon Boat Basic Helm Certification or equivalent experience
• Participants must hold a valid Standard First Aid with CPR and AED certification accredited by SRFAC
• Show proof of a minimum of 100 hours of steering  as the helm in the dragon boat.
• Participants are required to have a specific level of physical fitness to proficiently operate the Dragon Boat, manage emergencies, and effectively communicate with the crew.

Please note that due to limited capacity, we can accommodate a maximum of 20 participants.

Admission will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis.

We strongly encourage all interested individuals to promptly submit their applications to secure a spot in this course.
